Liquid De-icing Material LithMelt Liquid is a specially formulated anti-icing/de-icing material comprising potassium acetate modified with lithium acetate to prevent the deleterious effects of standard potassium acetate on alkali silica reaction (ASR) in concrete. This environmentally safe liquid, does not promote ASR in concrete as other de-icers do. The lithium in the material counteracts the negative effects of the potassium acetate without affecting its de-icing properties. Dual Technology Waterstop Bentoject combines two technologies--a hydrophilic waterstop and a grout injection tube--in a single product that stops water intrusion through cold joints in below-grade concrete structures. A reinforced spiral steel wire prevents tube collapse during concrete placement. This is covered with a filtering membrane to form a permeable tube for future grout injection. A bentonite rubber outer skin covers the membrane and swells on contact with water, filling the cold joint like a standard hydrophilic waterstop.
