Once signed in using your e-code, you will be brought to your own, personalized ConnectionPOINT landing page. Every user will see at least one event tab, representing the show (site) from which you signed in.
BASIC NAVIGATION
HOW DO I CHANGE MY EVENT LANDING PAGE?
When you sign-in to ConnectionPOINT for the first time, you will automatically land on the current year of your most recent event. However, any changes you make to your ConnectionPOINT show pages will save, including the event page you leave from--so your ConnectionPOINT is in the same state you left it each time you sign back in.
HOW DO I SWITCH BETWEEN EVENTS?
You'll notice you will have a tab for each Hanley Wood event for which you have participated. Switching between your events is easy - simply click the tab of the selected event you would like to view. The event home will automatically display that event's most current year (or the last year you viewed in that event).
HOW DO I VIEW PAST YEARS WITHIN EVENTS?
In the Selected Show Part there is a yellow box that asks, "Looking for a Different Year?". This Part is available throughout all of ConnectionPOINT and allows you to float in and out of various show years.
HOW DO I VIEW MY SPECIFIC SHOW HISTORY?
ConnectionPOINT provides all your registration history for all Hanley Wood events all in one place. Click the icon for further details on each year's registration. It will take you to that year's event where you can view that year's session details.
HOW CAN I VIEW EVENTS THAT I HAVEN'T PARTICIPATED IN?
ConnectionPOINT lets you add new tabs for all Hanley Wood events to give you an idea of which additional shows might be a match for you. You can add an event one of two ways:
1. Click the "Add New Tab" from the tab menu on the top of the selected show tool bar.
2. From the All Show Part, click the event you are interested in adding.
CUSTOMIZATION: GETTING THE PARTS TO MOVE, HIDE, EXPAND...
DO I HAVE TO LOOK AT ALL THE PARTS, ALL AT ONCE?
With so much available at your fingertips, we realize it can be a bit of "information overload". You are able to Shrink a Part by toggling the menu carrot located in the top right-hand corner of the Part you wish to shrink. To Expand a Part with hidden content, simply click the menu carrot.
CAN I TURN ON OR TURN OFF PARTS AT MY WILL?
Some ConnectionPOINT Parts are optional and can be turned on and off by the user. Those parts will have an X indicated in their Part Menu. To close the Part, simply click select the X on the desired Part. To re-open a closed part, the user will need to add it from the Add A Part Menu at the top of the screen. All other Parts are administered by Show Management. However, the user has the ability to shrink and expand all parts.
CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT OF ConnectionPOINT?
To Move a Part, you simply drag and drop - using the cursor as your intended landing location.

WHAT IS AN RSS FEED & WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
RSS feeds allow the browser (you) to receive up-to-date information and articles specific to a certain topic without having to check back on the site for updates. The benefit of using RSS feeds is that it allows you to customize your news based on interest and topics and stay informed.
HOW DO I TELL IF A SITE HAS RSS FEEDS AVAILABLE?
Every site and every Internet program/browser and version will display different signs. News and industry publication sites can display RSS feeds in a variety of ways:
-- ICON WITHIN THE SITE
The RSS Feed Icon will be available on a page within the site giving you the option to subscribe to that particular feed.
-- ICON ON WEB TOOLBAR
For particular versions of browsers, the RSS Icon is an active menu item. When using Internet Explorer 7.0, the RSS Icon appears in the menu toolbar. The icon will remain static, displayed in grey tones (1) until you reach a page that contains a RSS subscribe feed. At this point, the RSS icon will become orange (2). For Mozilla Firefox 3.0, the RSS icon appears in the URL box when you reach a site that contains an active RSS feed.
HOW DO I TURN ON THE MyRSS FEED PART IN CONNECTIONPOINT?
To add the MyRSS Feed to your ConnectionPOINT page, simply select the Part from the ADD PARTS menu.
I'VE BEEN IN FOR A WHILE BUT NONE OF MY RSS FEEDS HAVE CHANGED. IS SOMETHING WRONG?
While you are signed-in, ConnectionPOINT will wait for you to tell it to go look for new RSS articles. To do this, simple click the refresh button located in the center of the RSS Part menu. If articles don't refresh after you have clicked the refresh button, then no new articles are available.
