Product Name: GeoTrakker by ExakTime
Booth: C4271

GPS for Employees

Description: ExakTime’s new GeoTrakker takes GPS tracking to the next level for contractors. Utilizing ExakTime Mobile technology for Smartphones, GeoTrakker records the speed, direction and movement of every employee who is on the clock - verifying employees’ locations for contractors back in the office.

With GeoTrakker, managers can login to ExakTime’s MapSummit software at any time, view a GPS trail of their workers’ travels and verify their workers are at the job site at all times.

GeoTrakker has been found to a an effective contractor resource. Frank Andreas, owner of Clemson Contracting, Alberta, Canada, implemented GeoTrakker into his ExakTime system in 2012. Now, he receives location audit trails of where his workers have been throughout the workday, every time they clock in or out with ExakTime Mobile.

“I check their locations daily, several times per day,” he said. “At 8 a.m., I look at the software and see who’s clocked in and who’s not. I start asking questions if people aren’t where they should be. It’s very beneficial.”

Using GeoTrakker’s audit trail assigned to each ExakTime Mobile device, Andreas ensures that his workers are at the work site at all times throughout the day, and not taking extended breaks.

He said the product has more than paid for itself. Andreas said he enjoys the freedom of turning GeoTrakker on or off for each ExakTime Mobile device, and he’s thankful that there’s zero training or additional hardware involved for the product. “GeoTrakker is an absolutely necessary tool to ensure that people are where they say they are at all times,” he said. “I can’t even imagine not having it now.”

Product Name: The Concrete MD by Cart-Away Concrete Systems Inc.
Booth: N1458

Concrete Mixer for Remote Locations

Description: The Concrete MD is the first mixer specifically designed to produce consistent ready-mixed concrete in the poorest and most remote regions of the world. The MD replaces mixing on the ground with shovels and provides a way to mix consistent batches using only limited local resources. A unique auger design and calibrated batching buckets make the MD the cure for the world’s poorest concrete.

Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti the development team at Cart-Away Concrete Systems began work on a solution for hand-mixed batching practices. The MD’s blending action mimics shovels working in unison, and the measuring system copies the bucket-brigade practices that are common in developing countries. The auger-blender in the belly of the Concrete MD is a mechanical mixing ditch that whips and stirs the mix better than any shovel could. The robust, hydraulically powered auger provides uniformly blended concrete every time because it incorporates a counter-rotating mixing system. This unique blending action allows the raw materials to fold back and forth within the open mixing chamber. The open chamber allows for easy loading of the machine using batch-buckets and sacks of Portland cement. On each side of the mixer rests a batch-bucket that is used to accurately measure and tip in the concrete recipe - One bucket measured for sand and the other measured for rock. There is even an “abacus-style” counting system provided on the machine for tracking the bucket dumps. The recipe also gives instructions as to the correct measurement of water that is needed to create a strong mix. The design team studied the distribution methods used by concrete workers in Haiti to create the unique discharge tube for the machine. Because they use 5-gallon buckets to pack the wet concrete, the MD dispenses from a 6” tube at the bottom of the mixing chamber. This tube provides a perfect bucket loading system with excellent fill control. This discharge tube becomes a part of the traditional bucket-brigade delivery process that an excess of labor resources makes possible. If wheelbarrows are used, the legs of the MD extend up to allow the tube to pour in concrete at wheelbarrow height. With many construction sites located in very remote areas with difficult access, the Concrete MD was designed for human mobilization. The main mixing unit weighs 700 pounds and is counter-weighted so that a couple of people can use the sliding tow bar and wheels to push it around a job site. The Honda/Hydraulic power unit is a separate rolling system that weighs 400 pounds, and is also easily pushed around the site.

Product Name: BNRJ-100 Robo Joiner by BN Products-USA, LLC
Booth: N2637

Mechanized Control Joint Installer

Description: The BNRJ-100 Robo Joiner mechanizes the installation of control joints. It can easily reduce the time it takes to install joints in concrete during the curing process. The tool comes with two grove patterns; a rolled edge joint, and a “saw-cut” look.

The Robo Joiner does the hard break in work with its variable speed stainless steel blade, eliminating skinned knuckles while putting in control joints. The tool gives a contractor complete control over the placement of their joints. The vibrating, and up/down motion of the blade pushes aggregate down and away from the joint, providing better crack control.

Once the concrete has bled off the excess water and is setting up, the tool is ready to be used. The Robo Joiner allows contractors to put joints in when the concrete can still be worked. The system helps finish quick drying jobs that are starting to get away.

A great feature of this tool is the blade and plate for those finishes requiring a “saw-cut” look. The thin blade attachment is complimented by an aluminum bottom plate that creates a grove equal to a “saw-cut” diamond blade. This allows you to put the grove in during curing instead of waiting hours for the concrete to set up. Using this tool eliminates the dust created by a blade in addition to finishing your job hours faster.

The Robo Joiner comes in a blow molded case, with two 20V Li-Ion batteries and a quick charger. One charge of the battery will allow for over 100 feet of joints. It is easy to change from one style of joint to another with just a few changes of parts. Clean up with just water and a brush.

Product Name: Certi-Vex Clean Lift by Vexcon Chemicals
Booth: S11115

Active Bond Breaker

Description: Certi-Vex Clean Lift is an efficient, fast-track membrane forming, reactive bond breaker. This product is specifically formulated as a solvent base low VOC product for tilt-up and pre-cast concrete construction. Certi-Vex Clean Lift features a propriety formulation of chemically active release agents, which form micro layers on the concrete surface. These layers are the foundation for the only chemically active bond breaker when independently tested to meet all the requirements of ASTM C 309 (Standard Specification for Liquid Membrane-Forming Compounds for Curing Concrete).

Certi-Vex Clean Lift not only meets this curing standard but also can be used on any type of finished concrete slab without any additional supplemental curing, saving the contractor time and material cost. In addition, since the concrete slab maintains proper moisture retention, the product reduces surface defects such as crazing, spider cracking, shrinkage, dusting, curling, carbonization and “stickers”, producing a repair free, smooth, and uniform panel and concrete floor.

Today's new generation of bond breakers alone, regardless of how the concrete slab is finished, do not comply with ASTM C-309, the industry curing standard without some form of supplemental curing. A properly cured concrete slab yields a higher quality, and better performing long term concrete floor.

Certi-Vex Clean lift significantly reduces or eliminates panel surface defects and any osmotic effect. It enables fast drying for optimum concrete pour scheduling. Slabs are quickly and easily cleaned, allowing for subsequent treatments and coatings without excessive preparation or delay. The product does not contain any wax or hydrocarbon resins and has a long shelf life.

Product Name: Econwall by Econ Wall
Booth: N2455

Insulated Concrete Wall System

Description: Econwall is an insulated concrete thermal mass wall system which places the insulation on the outside of the concrete walls. In doing so, the insides of the building are free of thermal insulation. This enables the concrete to absorb, store, and later release thermal energy to achieve significant energy savings whilst improving occupant comfort levels.

Buildings constructed using Econwall can harness both passive and active energy. When combined with a passive solar design, the concrete thermal mass in ECON WALL will capture and store the thermal energy from sun light transferred into the building through windows and doors. The thermal mass properties of Econwall can be extended by embedding hydronic pipes into the concrete walls and circulating hot water through them from a roof top hot water collector or a geothermal system. This active energy method provides comfortable heating at a low cost.

Econwall has been engineered as a versatile stay in place formwork. An outer layer of insulation is connected to an inner layer of fiber cement via a non-conductive polymer stud which also acts as a support for steel reinforcement bars. Once braced, the resulting cavity is poured with concrete to form an insulated concrete thermal mass structural wall.

Econwall has been designed to use a variety of different insulation sheets such as Expanded Polystyrene, Extruded Polystyrene, and Polyisocyanurate. For easy application of renders and other outer finishes, the outer insulation can also be pre finished with an enhanced coating system and reinforced with fibreglass mesh. Alternatively, ECconwall can be clad with fiber cement sheets or siding, aluminium composite sheets and even modern ventilated facades.

The inner layer is made from either fiber cement sheet or magnesium oxide sheet. This provides a highly durable and smooth inner surface for easy application of high quality paint finishes.

Another key advantage of Econwall is that it has the facility of a built in full services cavity for easy installation of electrical, communications, plumbing and other services without the need to put cast in conduits. The services cavity can be placed inside, outside or both sides of the concrete wall.

From a construction point of view, the use of Econwall result in lower on-site costs and a faster construction time because the system is a fully integrated vertical form which is delivered as pre-fabricated modules. These modules come with window and door sub frames, starter channels and articulation joints with built in dowel and sleeve systems. With these features a typical single story house can be set up and poured in a few days.

ECON WALL has been used to create Australia’s first 9 Star energy rated insulated concrete thermal mass house with beyond carbon neutral potential.

The solidified waste has a moist granule feel and meets the EPA Method 9095B paint filter test, as well as the EPA regulations for proper disposal methods. This means that landfills accept the solidified waste and that it can then be picked up and thrown away in any standard trash can or dumpster legally as long as it meets local, state, and federal disposal regulations.

DuroGel is comprised of all organic ingredients and is not harmful to the society or the environment. DuroGel is comprised of a substance which is highly absorbent and non-sticky that solidifies messy slurry water. The polymeric particles which act as tiny sponges that retain many times their weight in solution.

Contractors can use DuroGel for many operations. Concrete polishers first squeegee slurry into a pile, then evenly cover the pile with a thin coat of DuroGel. The DuroGel reacts quickly and solidifies the slurry.

Concrete cutters can pour a small circle around their coring bit then cut the concrete as usual. As the slurry water hits the DuroGel it begins to swell and solidify instantly. The DuroGel wall and create a mess or potential slurry water run off hazard on the jobsite. The Corer will then sweep the DuroGel into the slurry which will densify the excess liquid. This also eliminates the need of having an extra employee at the jobsite to vacuum the slurry with a vacuum which in return saves on cost of labor.

Product Name: LTM Concrete Coil Protector by LTM Concrete
Booth: N2753

Durable Coil Plugs

Description: LTM Concrete’s solid blue Coil Protector keeps concrete from filling a coil during the pour, and does it better than anything else on the market. LTM’s superior engineering and extra-tough materials combine to deliver near-perfect performance every time. Each piece is specially coated and LTM’s proprietary removal tool works with a standard wrench.

When working with coils, it’s difficult to keep concrete from going where it shouldn’t be. The solution is to plug the coil and then remove the plug once the concrete hardens. Unfortunately, traditionally used plugs fail at a rate of 50% or more. Contractors often spend 30 min drilling out broken plastic shards just to keep the job moving forward.

Using high-grade materials, LTM Concrete also uses a method to inject this part with fewer voids than before. This gives their Coil Protector unparalleled strength, and eliminates the frustration of drilling out broken plastic on-site.

The head of the LTM Coil Protector has also been improved. A new design makes slippage virtually impossible; the proprietary removal tool fits snugly into place and offers maximum torque using a standard wrench.

“We recently switched to the new LTM Coil Protector,” explained one major precast manufacturer. “They save us a lot of time and frustration.”

Product Name: Lythic Day-1 by Lythic Solutions Inc
Booth: S12747

Power Troweling Aid

Description: Lythic Solutions’ Day1 is a new type of power troweling aid that extends finishing time and reduces surface drying without adding excessive water or in other ways weakening the slab. It gives finishers extra time to close the slab, and reduces trowel wear and operator fatigue. Day1 helps the concrete retain water during curing with performance equal to a membrane-forming curing compound, even though there is no membrane, film, or residue left over to remove.

Day1 becomes a permanent part of the slab that strengthens the surface and makes it water-repellant. Based on eco-friendly colloidal silica, Day1 is a liquid that is sprayed on freshly-placed concrete during finishing. As the trowel works it into the surface, Day1 chemically reacts with the concrete to close the pore structure, which slows evaporation. That produces a host of benefits to the finisher and to the concrete. Day1 extends finishing time anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. In conditions of wind, low humidity, or heat, that can make the difference between finishing the job right and “losing the slab.”

When finishers try to buy extra time by adding water to the surface to keep it workable (sometimes called “blessing the slab”), it weakens the concrete and can cause dusting and other problems. Day1 makes extra water unnecessary. It strengthens the surface, eliminates dusting, and helps prevent checking and crazing. During field testing, contractors described Day1 as, “like having an extra finisher on the jobsite.” It also lubricates troweling: when Day1 is sprayed on, the power-trowel speeds up audibly. Day1 reduces operator fatigue and wear-and-tear on the equipment.

Use of Day1 during finishing results in a better slab. It has been tested to meet the water-retention requirements of a liquid membrane-forming curing compound (per ASTM C156 Standard Test Method for Water Loss (from a Mortar Specimen) Through Liquid Membrane-Forming Curing Compounds for Concrete). It closes the surface so effectively that the concrete becomes water repellant.Day1 has also been third-party tested to mitigate potential for ASR popouts.

Lythic Day1 is part of the family of Lythic colloidal-silica based concrete treatments. It is packaged as a concentrate to minimize environmental impacts of transportation and shipping costs. It is available from select distributors, and worldwide direct from the manufacturer.

Product Name: RheoTEC™ Z-60 Workability-Retaining Admixture by BASF
Booth: S10107

Flexible Workability Admixture

Description: Until now, the industry has not had a true solution for workability loss and it has largely been accepted as inevitable. Ineffective methods for counteracting slump loss have included retempering, re-dosing with a high-range water-reducing admixture, and batching to a higher-than-required slump. However, these methods all result in concrete variability or are inefficient from a profitability perspective. With RheoTEC Z-60 workability-retaining admixture, BASF offers a new chemistry that helps concrete producers improve quality, reduce rejected loads, and enhance their bottom line.

While typical water-reducers provide excellent initial workability, concrete producers have continuously asked for a technology that could retain workability under various adverse conditions, without retarding cement hydration. RheoTEC Z-60 is designed specifically to help the concrete producer maintain workability, control performance and improve operational efficiency.

By maintaining concrete workability from batching to placement, a producer can save significant time and money. This includes lowering mixture costs by reducing overdesign and eliminating admixture dosing on site, improving truck efficiency, reducing QC personnel time at the jobsite dedicated to re-dosing admixture, and improving delivery logistics.

BASF has developed the Consistent Concrete Value Tool (CCVT) to help producers model the dollar savings potential they can achieve with more consistent concrete, through the use of RheoTEC Z-60. Using this tool, the producer identifies certain situations that may occur on the jobsite to determine how they affect his or her bottom line. The CCVT incorporates market data with these producer inputs and produces a value estimate that can be printed and utilized to demonstrate the savings that can be achieved with consistent concrete.

In addition, concrete contractors benefit by receiving consistent performing concrete mixtures from batch to batch. This means less time is required for jobsite adjustment of concrete fresh properties resulting in more efficient placement and finishing activities as well as improved in-place quality.

Product Name: UltraPozz by Nippon Electric Glass America
Booth: N212

Control Thermal Cracking

Description: UltraPozz will reduce the heat of hydration anywhere from 10-40% during the first 100 hours, depending on the mix design, thus lowering the threat of thermal cracking and allowing for a cooler, controlled set. After 100 hours the cement-water hydration process wanes while the UltraPozz mixes continue to hydrate until one of the two remaining hydration agents, calcium hydroxide or UltraPozz, have been consumed. This slow pozzolanic hydration process can continue for months or even years, bringing long term strength well beyond the OPC control. Previous tests indicate that the eventual compressive strength of the UltraPozz mixes will exceed the control by 15-40% depending on the mix design.

Testing in accordance with ASTM C1012, sulfate resistance, shows the UltraPozz blended cements qualify as "High Sulfate Resistant Cements." Chloride penetration resistance, a key factor in protecting reinforcing steel embedded in concrete from corrosion, is nearly 500% of control when using UltraPozz.

University of Utah ASR mortar bar expansion tests clearly show UltraPozz is resistant to the ravages of ASR. A University of Utah study corroborated previous test data, which indicates that UltraPozz is free of crystalline silica and other hazardous materials. This material is so safe that it is used in the dental industry to clean your teeth and in the cosmetics industry as an exfoliation agent in skin creams.

Product Name: Colorspreader by Colorspreader by Triple Hard Tools
Booth: S12918

Safe, Efficient Material Broadcast System

Description: The Colorspreader broadcasts what has traditionally been called "dry shake" materials, or materials that are "shaken on by hand" onto the surface of wet or plastic concrete. These products include color hardeners, floor hardeners, and light reflective materials. These materials have traditionally been hand applied which creates a very dusty work environment and unpredictable final surface. Airborne silicates and iron oxide pigment create potential health risks.

With this device, concrete finishers are no longer limited in the amount of concrete that could be poured because they could only reach "so far" using the "dry shake" method and still meet the manufacturer's recommended coverage rate.

Colorspreader is an innovative tool as it helps mitigate exposure to airborne products, and increases finisher productivity.

Product Name: Deco-Strip by Nox-Crete Products Group
Booth: S12354

Decorative Acrylic Sealer Remover

Description: Deco-Strip, makes removing worn out, discolored, decorative acrylic sealers from stamped concrete quick and easy. It softens and lifts the installed coating without scrubbing, scraping or creating harmful waste.

Over time, sealed concrete can develop a white “frost-like” appearance, from moisture buildup under the sealer. This causes the coating to lose its bond. Sealers can also yellow after long-term UV exposure. Before a new surface-protecting sealer can be applied, the old sealer must be removed.

Deco-Strip is biodegradable stripper that is sprayed or rolled onto concrete. Deco-Strip is thin and penetrates into the uneven ridges and crevices of stamped concrete that cannot be reached by scraping. Deco-Strip generally requires one to two coats and can be rinsed off with a pressure washer or garden hose equipped with a spray nozzle, restoring concrete back to its original unsealed condition. Deco-Strip can be applied in any weather condition and has a pleasant scent.

Super Cast

Product Name: Super Cast by Clemons Concrete Coatings
Booth: S11650

Surface Retarder

Description: Super Cast’s new formula acts as an indefinite surface deactivator. This action reduces scheduling conflicts for contractors because the surface can be washed at any time after the initial set. All new pigments in the product provide a more vibrant color that is easily visible during the application. These new pigments ensure even coverage and proper application rate.

The improved Super Cast also aids in the curing of freshly placed concrete. Super Cast meets the standards of ASTM C309 for curing concrete if not removed until the surface is 28 days old.

Super Cast is resistant to rain, unlike other surfaces retarders. This property reduces the costs of purchasing and installing poly sheeting. The material’s water resistance also allows a more even finish by allowing the run off wash water to flow harmlessly over the coated surfaces. This limits the ability of the wash water to etch the surface further.

Super Cast is also a great alternative to broom swept concrete. Super Cast will not affect the integral color as broom sweeping and other finishing techniques can.

Super Cast is available in four easy to identify colors, providing the most popular etch depths in decorative concrete. Available etch depths are as follows: Violet for an acid etch; Blue for a sandblast etch; Yellow for aggregate up to ¼ inch; Gray for aggregate 3/8 inch to ½ inch.

Product Name: Dam-It Dams Portable Cofferdam System by Dam It Dams
Booth: C6591

Eco-Friendly Coffer Dam System

Description: Dam-It Dams’ patented Portable Cofferdam System offers a cost effective and highly adaptable solution to manage, move, dam or divert water with minimal or no impact on the environment. The easy-to-install System uses on-site water. This system replaces the sand bags and earthen fill and eliminates waste and mitigates post-construction job site damage.

A cofferdam is a temporary enclosure in or around a body of water constructed to allow the enclosed area to be pumped out, thus creating a dry environment for work activities to proceed. Today’s cofferdams are typically conventional embankment dams of both earth- and rock-fill, although concrete or some sheet piling also may be used. The system offers cost effective solutions to dewatering virtually any type of work site.

Dam-It Dams Portable Cofferdams are made of a heavy-duty, geotextile woven polypropylene outer casing that contains two side-by-side inner tubes. The inner dual tubes act as a stabilizer to keep the dam from rolling because of outside water pressure or other forces. Because the cofferdam needs to be 25% higher than the depth of the water to be controlled, our Portable Cofferdams come in eight different heights, ranging from one to 12 feet. Installation is easy. On-site water is pumped into the two fill tubes causing the dam’s chambers to slowly and evenly inflate, forming a strong, stable cylindrical tube. As the inner tubes continue to fill and the water pressure builds, the dam un-rolls in a controlled manner to create the cofferdam. Contractors find the layout easy to adapt. Cofferdams can be molded perfectly to fit a lake bed, river bed, watershed or any other type of physical setting. Using the available extension coupling system, individual dams may be easily linked together to create a watertight barrier. The system can be used for: bridge/pier repairs; dewatering; environmental remediation; construction site.

Product Name: Mustang RT Series Track Loaders by Manitou America's Inc
Booth: C5650/C5948

Durable Undercarriage Design for Track Loaders

Description: Mustang offers the 1750RT and 2100RT compact track loader models as part of a comprehensive range of compact equipment that feature performance, durability, and comfort as standard. They also offer feature a proprietary undercarriage with automatic track tensioning, which are designed to boost value and return on investment.

With its latest range of compact track loaders, Mustang started by listening to customers and completing exhaustive research. On compact track loaders, nothing is closer to the ground than the undercarriage, and few elements of the machine contribute as equally to overall performance and durability. The undercarriage is fully-welded to the loader chassis, offering more integral durability than a bolt-on undercarriage, or an over-the-tire track design. Rollers are manufactured from steel, offering better abrasion resistance and wear characteristics compared to rubber, especially in arduous conditions. Hydraulic plumbing to the drive motors is internal to the chassis, as opposed to external designs, offering augmented protection to essential tubes and lines. Mustang tracks feature steel-belted tracks with steel lugs, enhancing durability and longevity. All components and design elements, such as drive sprockets, front idler placement, and track angle, were designed to complement overall performance, offering outstanding tractive effort. Roller spacing and positioning were thoroughly investigated to offer optimized ride and traction characteristics.

Mustang compact track loader undercarriages also feature the exclusive HydraTrac automatic track tensioning system. When the engine is running, correct track tension is constantly maintained by a pilot-charged hydraulic cylinder on each side of the undercarriage. When the engine is not operating, track tension is released, removing tension from bearings, and prolonging the life of undercarriage components. HydraTrac extends track and bearing life by up to 15%. Owners and operators save valuable time by not having to manually inspect and adjust essential track tension.

With the HydraTrac system, undercarriage maintenance is virtually eliminated, saving time and increasing profit. With fully-sealed rollers and automatic track tensioning, no greasing or adjustment of the undercarriage is needed as part of daily or periodic inspections.

Owners and operators have the peace of mind in knowing that they are operating innovative equipment designed with their needs at heart. Both models are proudly manufactured in the USA.

Product Name: Quick Release Rotary Mount for the Wagman Revolution System by Wagman Metal Products Inc
Booth: S10354

Power Trowel Attachment Couple

Description: The new quick release mount has a V-notch connection with a sealed bearing that allows for quick attachment to a power trowel with the EDCO style spring load adapter. This system allows a concrete contractor to utilize their power trowel for more than finishing concrete. And they do not have to invest in other equipment to now do more work. The quick release allows for easy removal, better storage and transportation of the rotaries to keep from damage.

The mount consists of a patented connection with steel V- notch channel and sealed bearing which allows for attached rotary to “float” freely on the surface.

The passive planetary action provided by the mount makes an ideal action for scrubbing and stripping. The floating action of the mount allows the rotary to stay in contact with the surface and wears evenly.

The Quick release allows contractors efficient to interchange rotaries of either brush or pad drivers. For example when using the power trowel with the Revolution System with grit brushes for surface prep of a stain or a dye they then can quickly change to a tampico (soft) brush for polishing off residue on the same project. Another common use occurs when the contractor is applying penetrating sealer/dustproofer/densifiers.

Product Name: Ultra-Ever Dry by UltraTech International
Booth: N2452

Liquid Repellant

Description: : Ultra-Ever Dry is a superhydrophobic (water) and oleophobic (hydrocarbons) coating that will completely repel almost any liquid. Ultra-Ever Dry uses proprietary nanotechnology to coat an object and create a barrier of air on its surface. This barrier repels water, oil and other liquids unlike any coating. The other breakthrough associated with Ultra-Ever Dry is the superior coating adherence and abrasion resistance allowing it to be used in all kinds of applications where durability is required.

The barrier prevents wetting , corrosion, icing, and contamination.

The coating is self-cleaning. The Ultra-Ever Dry repels dirty water and thick oils, and remains clean and virtually bacteria-free. When dust, dirt or other molecules accumulate on a coated surface, a light spray of water or a blast of air grabs the dust and removes it.

By using the coating, contractors are more productive. Many products fail from moisture, water, oil or simply getting too dirty for continued use. Contractors can use Ultra-Ever Dry to extend the life of work gloves and other PPE, electric motors by preventing moisture on the windings, coat nuts and bolts to prevent corrosion, coat tools, equipment, and virtually any item that needs to be kept dry, corrosion free, de-iced, uncontaminated or clean.

Product Name: Quick-Fit End Dam by Freedom Flashing Products, Inc.
Booth: N1418

Seamless End Dam

Description: Freedom Flashing Products brings the masonry industry the first adjustable seamless end dam. Constructed from one piece of stainless steel, the Quick-Fit End Dam’s patented angularly adjustable rear leg can be tilted to accommodate for nonparallel cavity variations between the inner and outer wall components. Its seamless moveable web provides a watertight pan to protect your project from water intrusion through masonry openings.

For years, trained masons have been installing end dams at window and door openings to prevent water accumulation. If built well, a sealed end dam does a great job of containing water. If built poorly, a failing end dam can allow for significant damage, such as corroded metal, saturated insulation, damaged interiors and mold.

Give two masons the task of field constructing an end dam, and you will often end up with two very different items. The seamless Quick-Fit End Dam’s manufacturing process guarantees the installation of the same reliable product every time. The end dam’s single-piece seamless construction eliminates the need for pond testing.

Whether the mason is retrofitting an old wall or constructing a new one, Quick Fit End Dam saves contractors time and money.

Quick Fit End Dams are available in a number of standard sizes and materials.

Product Name: Tie-Cast System by Tie-Cast Systems Inc.
Booth: N1853

Mortar-less Wall System

Description: Tie-Cast Systems, Inc. has developed a process to fabricate a mortarless, groutless, reinforced construction block that allows the user to create a custom textile appearance. This revolutionary block can be used to construct a variety of projects, including sound walls, retaining walls, schools, warehouses, and temporary structures.

In the early 1900’s renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright created a unique structural system known as textile block. He introduced to modern architecture the system of stacking textile blocks without the use of mortar. He improved the system by adding a network of inter-block joints, filled with grout and steel reinforcement to add strength and resilience to the structure.

For decades, architects around the world have studied the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and his use of mortarless textile blocks. However, this revolutionary form of construction has not been widely used due to its inherent challenges: the difficulty of making a mortarless block having precise dimensions, and the lack of a cost-effective process to make block with a quality textured surface.

This new system solves these problems. Custom textures are molded into block face and sides. Final blocks can be removed, re-used or reconfigured. The availability of an effective and cost-efficient way to make customized textile block that has the utility and strength of a traditional reinforced concrete block will redefine the block construction industry and open doors for wide-spread and innovative applications of Frank Lloyd Wright’s dream for mortarless textile block.
