This 10-hour safety course satisfies the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's construction safety training program requirements providing concrete/masonry workers, supervisors and field personnel an awareness of safety and health concerns in the construction industry placing special emphasis on OSHA regulations that address concrete/masonry issues. This information is essential for those who need to know current OSHA regulations and requirements for safety and health standards or need to verify these standards are followed. This OSHA 10-hour construction program is specifically designed to help concrete/masonry workers and supervisors identify and avoid hazards they are likely to encounter every day on the job. The workshop is highly engaging and includes video segments of jobsite scenarios that show typical hazards and their remedies. This interactive workshop will be presented in designated modules using a combination of text book material, visual media, lecture and demonstration: Registration includes 29 CFR 1926 OSHA Construction Industry Regulations Manual (a $50 value), Introduction to OSHA Student Handout Packet, continental breakfast, boxed lunch and safety training completion card. Train-the-Trainer: Articulating Boom Crane URGENT NOTICE: Per the November of 2010 federal construction crane rule, all persons operating cranes must be nationally certified operators by Nov 10, 2014 (29CFR1926.1427). NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) written and practical national operator certification exams recognized by OSHA will satisfy this rule. URGENT NOTICE: Per the federal construction crane rule effective Nov. 2010, (29CFR1926.1425, 1428, 1430) employers must ensure the following employees are qualified persons and have been trained, tested and evaluated to perform the tasks involved. (Proof of training or qualification must be available to OSHA upon request.) In this 4-hour trainer workshop, attendees will become authorized in-house instructors to teach rules/regulations to properly select, inspect and use basic rigging and signaling/spotting for overhead hoisting. Signaling, spotting and recognizing the hazards of working around cranes are included. This program will assist employers to comply with the Federal Crane rule requiring qualified riggers and signalpersons on the jobsite. Participants receive the Trainer’s Kit ($695 value) which contains Trainer’s Manual, PowerPoint slides and script, practice quizzes with grading keys, practical evaluation forms, riggers pocket handbook and ten 100-page workbooks with pocket reference cards. In this 8-hour trainer workshop, attendees receive a complete in-house qualification program plus training on implementation. Participants will be qualified and authorized as in-house instructors to teach rules/regulations for safe use of articulating cranes, preparing their company operators to pass the NCCCO Articulating Boom Crane (ABC) Operator National Certification exams. Program includes complete Trainer’s Kit ($695 value) containing Trainers Manual, ten 120-pg workbooks, PowerPoint slides, record forms, and practice quizzes w/keys.
Participants may choose to take the NCCCO National Certification written exam (TUCOW) on Tues Feb 5, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm plus the 45-minute NCCCO practical exam (COP) offered Tuesday afternoon through Friday morning. Participants successfully completing both exams will receive NCCCO Operator Certification Cards to meet the new Federal Crane requirements.
Separate registration and fees required for the Train-the-Trainer TCO ($875; $1,075 after 12/12/12), written exam TUCOW ($225) and practical COP ($275).
