Gelmaxx Teams Up with Ermator to Create a Simple Grinding Process That Saves Water
The best way to grind is to grind wet. However, running out of water in the middle of the job can cause delays in the project and increase costs. Fortunately, Gelmaxx has joined forces with Ermator to create a simple process that will provide a constant supply of water. Instead of chasing more water, why not reuse the water in the slurry. In order to accomplish this, we are using Gelmaxx’s AQUAmaxx slurry separator and the Ermator W2000.
For a small job, prime the grinder and Ermator W2000 with AQUAmaxx slurry separator before the work begins. This powerful material will separate the solids but is gentle enough to use in your machines. By priming your system with AQUAmaxx, the slurry will start to separate the moment you begin to grind.
As the operator begins to grind the floor, another worker can use the Ermator W2000 to vacuum the slurry. By the time the grinder needs more water, the slurry will have separated and the clean water is ready to replenish the machine. For a constant stream of water inside the grinder, connect a water hose to the Ermator W2000 and place it inside the burnishing machine. Rather than wasting time chasing water, there is a clean supply ready to be used. Since the water was reclaimed and recycled, that dramatically reduces water costs and slurry waste.
With all the leftover slurry water, use ECO-QUICKgel slurry solidifier to dispose of it. By turning the liquid slurry into a solid, it is now safe to be disposed directly into the trash can. Now the entire grinding process has become manageable and more efficient.
For a large job, the steps are similar except substituting an autoscrubber for the Ermator vacuum. Once enough slurry is collected with the autoscrubber, pour the waste water into a fifty-five gallon drum or large container. Since the system was already primed with AQUAmaxx, the slurry is already separating. To speed up the separating process, add an additional amount of AQUAmaxx to the drum. The clear water on top is ready to replenish the grinder or to be disposed of in a sanitary drain once the job is completed. At this step, using the W2000 to pump out the water is extremely convenient.
The basics of the grinding process still remain intact, but Gelmaxx and Ermator have uncovered a unique method that increases speed, time, and productivity. Watch the entire process at youtube.com/gelmaxxusa, where extended versions are available for more useful information.
