This seminar will feature details of the most common slab repair techniques currently used throughout the U.S.  The presentation will cover critical details required for a thorough project assessment, quantity take off, specification review, bid preparation, construction techniques, problem resolution during and after construction.  Case studies will be featured for each of the techniques discussed including full-depth repairs, partial-depth repairs, dowel bar retrofit, slot stitching, cross stitching, undersealing, slab jacking diamond grinding/grooving.

  1. Determine reasonableness of pavement restoration plans and specifications
  2. Prepare a detailed quantity take-off for the different phases of work
  3. Establish a critical path for all of the relevant construction activities
  4. Troubleshoot issues that may arise during construction and resolution strategies for issues after construction
