The importance and methods for curing concrete as well as the effects of hot and cold weather on concrete operations and properties are the focus of this third seminar in a four part series introducing basic concrete technology. The sustainability of concrete construction will also be covered. NOTE: This series is intended to introduce the basics of good concrete practice to individuals who are new to the concrete industry.

  1. Discuss why and how concrete is cured
  2. Explore the effects of cold weather on concrete properties and operations
  3. Examine the effects of hot weather on concrete properties and operations
  4. Define the role of concrete in sustainable construction
