SSPC developed the QP 8 Contractor Certification Program to verify the capabilities of contractors who install polymer coatings and surfacings on concrete. The program’s objective is to determine if a contractor has the personnel, organization, qualifications, procedures, knowledge, and capability to produce quality surface preparation and coating surfacing installation on concrete or other cementitious surfaces. This program encompasses assessment of a contracting firmʼs capability to perform polymer coating or surfacing installation on concrete or cementitious substrates in commercial, institutional, and industrial and marine facilities and structures
SSPC QP8 Certified Contractors will have:
1. Experience in performing quality coatings on concrete.
2. Knowledge in surface preparation and proper application techniques.
3. Equipment to produce high quality work.
4. Ability to work in accordance with local, state, federal guidelines for safety, health, and environmental compliance.
