A new family of lightweight, compact cranes has recently been introduced by PM with high performance in the 26 thru 40 ton/meter class: Series 26.5S, 28.5SP, 30.5 SP and the 36.5S, 38.5SP, 40.5SP.
All units are available with up to eight hydraulic extensions plus jibs with up to five additional hydraulic extensions.
Outer boom is designed with a negative 15° angle and jibs with a negative 20° angle.
Low pressure valves in lifting cylinders reduces cavitations independently from the load.
Units equipped with a radio remote control utilize PM’s Power Tronic Advance system. The system constantly monitors the crane’s activity and is shown on a larger, more visible graphic display.
The operator’s maneuvers on the radio transmitter is translated into visual feedback onto both the transmitter screen and the main Power Tronic display which includes lifting percentage, pressure values, work angles, etc.
Stability power control system, available in different versions, optimizes the cranes performance based on the stability of the chassis on which it is mounted.
New JMP control system allows the jib to work with the maximum pressure possible in relation to the crane’s geometric configuration at any given time. The jib also utilizes a regeneration valve for faster extension speed.
The PM 30.5SP and 40.5SP are continuous rotation cranes, while the other new units utilize 410° rack and pinion rotation.
All these new units are up to 12% lighter in weight than their predecessors due to the type of steel used in fabrication.
