Reef Industries’ Griffolyn® Vapor Retarder System can stop water vapor from causing poor insulation performance, structural damage and other moisture-related problems. Griffolyn® vapor retarders are reinforced with a patented heavy-duty polyester cord grid for high strength and durability. This reinforcement grid provides superior strength, eliminating tears and punctures commonly associated during installation.
There are several levels of permeance to choose from to meet the specific project demands for roofing, wall and under slab applications.
Reinforced 3 ply. General purpose that meets the strength and permeance requirements of most
Reinforced 7 ply. Extra strength and extra low permeance needed to meet additional requirements.
3 ply. Combines high density polyethylene and aluminum to provide an extremely low permeance
for special applications such as radon protection, cold storage, museums and computer rooms.
Griffolyn® Type-55 FR:
Reinforced 3 ply. General purpose fire retardant vapor retarder.
Griffolyn® 10 Mil Green:
10 mil co-extruded polyolefin membrane with a superior puncture resistance, impact and tensile strength. Meets ASTM E-1745 Class A.
Griffolyn® 15 Mil Green:
15 mil co-extruded polyolefin membrane with a superior puncture resistance, impact and tensile strength. Meets ASTM E-1745 Class A.
Griffolyn® Type-1200 FR:
Reinforced fire retardant 3 ply. Offer greater strength and lower permeance. Qualifies as Class 1 building product.
Griffolyn® vapor barriers can be manufactured in sizes to meet project requirements up to 200 ft × 200 ft (61 m × 61 m), which will significantly reduce the number of in-field seams and the potential for failure.
